Our Team

Thanh Nguyen, DDS

Pronounced like “Win”, Dr. Nguyen immigrated from Vietnam to Iowa when he was just 5 years old. Here, his parents worked at a meat packing factory to support him and his 3 brothers. Growing up, Dr. Nguyen was the designated translator so he would be at every single appointment helping his family. It was in witnessing his parents sacrifice to provide for their family that Dr. Nguyen became motivated to serve patients just like his parents — hardworking immigrants who ask for nothing but deserve everything.

He attended Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and The University of Iowa College of Dentistry. After dental school, he and his now wife lived in San Antonio, TX for 2 years and then moved to Nashville, TN. Outside of work, you will find him with his wife, two dogs, and daughter (pictured right)

Daniela (RDA)

Hi I’m Daniela and I’m so happy to be a team member here at Sonrisas Nashville. I was a dentist in Venezuela before I moved here to Nashville and it brings me immense joy to bring my knowledge of dentistry to the Hispanic community in Middle Tennessee.

I enjoy cosmetic dentistry and love learning about the latest technology and newest procedures to beautify all smiles. Outside of work, you can find me exploring Nashville downtown and eating empanadas con carne. Grecia is my paisana but Dr. Nguyen is my paisano.

Cristal S. (RDA)

Hi everyone my name is Cristal Sanchez I am originally from Houston Texas and moved to Nashville 9 years ago. I am a dental assistant and I’m currently in school to further my education in the dental field and become a Dental hygienist. I love working with the Hispanic community and being able to educate them on how important it is to take care of our oral health.

Cristal A. (RDA)

I am originally from Texas but recently moved to Nashville Tennessee with my husband. I have been in the dental field for over 3 years and enjoy seeing patients and creating bonds with them to help them feel secure and happy. I never knew teeth would make such a difference in a person until I entered the dental field and got to experience patients have a new smile and seeing them overwhelmed with joy. This was my reason to grow in the dental field. Being a part of the Hispanic community and being able to speak the language and patients understand makes me feel proud of my culture and my career.

Grecia

Hi I’m Grecia! Originally from Venezuela, I moved to Nashville after graduating dental school in Venezuela (at the same school as Daniela, lol)

I am so happy to have found Sonrisas because I am able to continue my education in dentistry and provide excellent care to the Hispanic community in Nashville. While I’m not studying for boards, you can find me making social media content for Sonrisas or exploring everything Nashville has to offer.

I’m not a picky eater but don’t offer me: ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, soy sauce, etc.
